does KACE have a report that lists which installations ran and their status, i.e. install time, failed, successful, etc.

I don't know if there is a built-in report that shows the info you desire, but you can certainly write your own.

I don't have a problem with that and since i don't what I'm doing is there any guidance as to how to do create a report like that?

I've written a tutorial in my Blog thread (http://itninja.com/question/silent-uninstall-oracle-8-cilent0617) that explains how to connect to the database to write custom queries. I believe KACE also has an article in their knowledgebase that goes over this.
