Any way to list items that have been deleted from K1000

Some time ago, my manager had instructed me to set KACE to remove items that are MIA for over 60 days. Today he's asking for a report to show what devices have been deleted by KACE after they hit this limit. I've explained that I can't run a report listing items that aren't in inventory, since they aren't in inventory.  My recommendation was to push out the deletion timeline and run an MIA report before then to see what is scheduled to be deleted soon and use that information.

Has anyone had a similar request or know where to get this information?  Does anyone know if there is a log file somewhere that lists recently deleted items?

You still can get this information, if your box is setup "correctly" for this function.
Go to Settings | History | Reporting | Assets and check for the asset deletion. If you can find it there, you can use this page to filter the list.
If not you can go to Settings | History |Subscription | Assets to subscribe the nessesary informations.
Same for the category Object.

Please be aware if you retain these informations for a too long timeframe the db may become big. And with big I mean _REALLY_BIG_, which can impact many tasks and the overall performance.

  • Thanks for the quick response. I had looked in there but wasn't sure what to do. I was able to find what I needed in there. - ScottAday 3 years ago
