Apache Directory Studio 1.5.2

Hi!

I´m going to deploy Apache Directory Studio 1.5.2.v20091211 but can´t find a way to disable "Search for Updates" in the Help menu. It should be simple but I have been searching registry, files and documentation for a solution but I can´t find any good answers.

Does anyone know how I can disable this "update-thing"?

Regards,

Ninni

No it´s not an automatic update. Users can choose to update via Help - Software Updates - Search for updates.

Use ProcMon.... ProcMon which will guide you what exactly it is referring when you click Update button.

The overwhelming majority of software does not allow access to menus in the way you require. Those that do are the exception rather than the rule. Can the vendor not supply this information?

BTW, ProcMon is no use in this situation, since you want to remove the menu item altogether, rather than monitor what file/registry access is taking place.

I belive, there is no need to remove the Menu item altogether.
If you restrict the access what exactly the Update button is referring to, will help you.
