Apps failed in SCCM TS but runs fine from software center

I have an application(in house ,wrapped in a vbs file which literally calls the exe already present on the machine with some parameters) which when installed prompts for a cmd windows for couple of mins and goes off by itself(doesn’t need any user interactions) ,this application installs fine from software center but it doesn’t get installed from SCCM TS.

From TS it fails and I don’t know how I can find why it failed during this application installation because smsts gives a generic error which doesn’t say why?

Any ideas/suggestions on how we can deal with these kind of apps in SCCM?

Just to give a back ground ,it was having the windows PCA prompt as well but I have got around it by disabling/stopping the windows compatibilities service when TS runs and re enabling  it at the end

I have sccm 1511 in my environment

Appreciate your help on this.

You could do a couple of things.

Check the SMSTS.log to see what it is complaining about.

or

If you know the app installs correctly from the TS every time but still gives an error you can choose "Continue on Error" so the entire TS does not fail.

I was going to suggest using a package as opposed to an application, but if you are running a script...

This might have something to do with the System acc for the deployment in SCCM. Running proc mon may help, I have had them in the past where the installer is looking for the desktop folder, not to use, just to see if its there
