Assigning assets
I'm fairly new to K1000...each year, our high school assigns a laptop to each of our 200+ newly enrolled 9th grade students. What are some options in the K1000 that I can do to assign a laptop as an asset to a individual user? we're a Windows 7/Win2008 R2 active directory shop.
Thanks for your input

dchristian is bang on, we do this and image about 500 new student machines every year.
You may also want to think about your roll out process. Do you, A) assign all of the users in advance, or B) assign them all to the machines after they get them. Here we do A) and also use this information to set the individual user as a local admin. At the same time we can use the information as a method for parents to opt out of their student having admin rights when the machines are imaged.
Les us all know how you go!
