Basic, Reduced or Full User Interaction

I have an MSI that gives different results if I install the app using Basic, Reduced or Full User Interaction. I have created an MST that enters the serial number and nothing else.
Property INPUTSERIALNUMBER=xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx

App: Olympus RSS Player Std
Results
Basic = Unable to complete install, fails with error
Reduced = Installs some features but missing files and app fails to run
Full = Full install with no issues but requires user to click through the install screen

After further experiments, if I use the /qr switch without the MST\serial number it seems to perform the same incomplete install.

Has anyone else come across a similar probelm and did they find a way around it.

If you're missing files or other things when running silent, look for Custom Actions in the InstallUISequence that might be relevant and are missing in the InstallExecuteSequence.

And you could try the property ADDLOCAL=ALL, maybe some features just don't get installed by default.

the custom action running in the installUI sequence needs to be entered in the InstallExecute Immediate Sequence ie installexecutesequence table
