My guess is that you had a motherboard replacement and the service technician did not set the service tag in the replacement board.  Contact Dell support for the process to add the service tag.

    • You might be out of luck then. Dell support would have to give you the tool to set the service tag. I'd suggest submitting a ticket for support, then using the "unresolved issues" submission if they don't fix it for you. If you are still buying Dell equipment, you could also have your salesperson escalate it for you if needed. - jknox 9 years ago
