Best Pracise regarding ODBC and DSN settings
Hi,
Can anybody tell me wat is the best practise involved in ODBC and DSN settings with respect to sequencing.
1)Should we add the ODBC and DSN settings in the OSD file
2)Should we add the ODBC and DSN settings in Virtual Registry
3)Should we create the DSN locally

You should be able to to take the ODBC entry and put it in as part of the package. When you close a sequence some of the application footprint will disappear and don't ask me why this happens because I have no clue myself. The important part is to run the sequence and see the registry entries in the virtual registry. If the settings are not in the actual sequence then you definately have issues.

Jyoti_Kumari,
I wanted to see what your experience s have been regarding virtualizing the ODBC entries. We are working on the same thing for our app and have using User DSN's. I havent gotten far enought to test them so I wanted to see what other were expereicning.
When sequencing were they being captured our were you having to add them to the ODBC.ini in the registry?
