best utility to use to add tcpip ports and printers

I am the new slackie of an IT dept. currently setting up machines the old fashioned way and am wondering the best way to automate the process of setting up new machines as they come in

Here is my set up –

Small business (under 75 machines)
Windows 2003 server but not taking advantage of AD

On new workstations each user is set up as ADMIN
I need to create 3 tcp/ip printer ports
Set up the printers / drivers
Set up 4 ODBC Drivers for the following software
Install 3 softwares (goldmine / heat / rightFax )

I was using Discover to make a *.MSI to get the ODBC and that works but have found that discover /MSI packages are not a good way to add printer ports / printers.

What would be the best way to add those ports / printers? -or another possiblity what DIRS should I Not be excluding to capture the new ports / printers in discover?

thanks for any advice

Run this command:
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /?

it'll help you out of a lot 'bout cli printer switches.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
