Business Objects 6.5 - no Virtual Registry
I am just beginning on the adventure which is AppV and naturally, being a masochist, decided that the MSI From Hell, BO 6.51, was as good a candidate for my first sequence as any.
All has gone reasonably well, except that on "walking through" the sequence before I test a deployment, I see that the Virtual Registry is empty! Now, BO's Registry table is HUGE, seriously HUGE (11,139 rows) so this is obviously wrong.
The sequence was produced by installing from the MSI directly and NOT using Login Consultants SoftGrid Migration Tool.
What can have gone wrong here?
EDIT:
As you were...
The view defaults to showing the greyed-out icon. Once I double-clicked it, I saw that all was well. I'm now wondering what the motivation was in designing the UI such that the user thinks the page is blank...how hard would it have been to add a '+' to the left of that icon?!?!?
