Business Objects Xi R2 SP4 Registry Keys
Am working on Business Objects Xi R2 SP4 application. In the VendorMSI there are Remove Registry keys pointing to Visual Studio (7.0, 7.1, 8.0 versions) , .Net, Crystal reports.
These keys will get deleted during installation of the application.
Can anyone let me know why these keys are required to delete during installation. Let me know if these keys can be deleted from application

I think you'd be better off asking Seagate (or whoever owns BO this week) that question, wouldn't you? Why not just condition the components with some property value in your transform? That way, they remain "intact" and installable (provided the relevant property value is set in a transform/passed on the command line).
