Can KACE schedule PC reboots after a period of inactivity?

Hi everyone

Is there an easy way through Kace to reboot PC's out in the field after a period of inactivity? I have had a quick look but cant find any, i need to schedule a reboot of quite a few PC's, and wondered what is best practice? I know i can reboot after Patch upgrades, but can i just reboot on its own? Thank you

you can create an online kace 1000 script that issue's a "shutdown /r /t 15 /f" if you need to restart them and setup the alerts to allow active users to opt out

  • you can also create a script without alerts to restart and not worry about the user

It doesn't have the functionality out of the box but I think you might be able to cobble something together using a script. Do you just need to schedule a reboot on a regular basis or does it have to happen after a period of inactivity (like you always want the computer to restart after it hasn't been used for half an hour)?
