Capture Error - .dll related?
I've been trying to capture an application that won't install silently....and I guess to torture me, it's going to be a pain to capture in Wise as well!
Every time I try to capture this application, when it comes time to copy the files to the repository it gets to a .dll file (FRxSoftware.FRx.ReportManager.dll) and gives me this error:
"Error Copying File or Folder
Cannot create or replace 7.0.3300.0_b03f5f7f11d50a3a: Cannot find the specified path.
Make sure you specify the correct path"
The file is actually in the directory it's looking for which baffles me. Anyone seen anything similar to this and have any ideas?

I thought so to...but I can't find anything locking it. I decided to abandon the SmartMonitor portion of the capture and was able to compile it just using a Snapshot.
Unfortunately, now when I test the install it complains about not being able to register .dll files. I went into the package and tell the specific 3 files it's complaining about not to register.....recompile, and still gives me the same problem. This app is driving me up a wall...

Rich, do a manual installation on a clean machine with the vendor install. Then copy that particular file off to the network, re-image and next do a capture and exclude that file from the capture. Then see if you get other errors.
I've actually found setup capture not to be all that useful any more. better to crack open the cab and lst files if you hve a legacy installation, and place the files in the correct directories in an empty wise project.
Of course sometimes installations are a black box/uncrackable so you're stuck.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
