citrix client version 8 again

I was able to remove the shortcuts using Wise for the citrix client but the "PN agent" icon is keep showing up the in the task bar. I cannot get rid of this. I've checked the shortcut section in the components and removed everything but that icon is keep showing up in the task bar.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

sounds like the PN Agent is being run at bootup.. try looking for services or other exe's residing at hklm\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run and see if you have any exe's in there

First of all thanks for your help.

I don't see anything citrix related in hklm\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run.

Is there anywhere else I can look?

First search your msi for the string that PN Agent is called on the taskbar.

Check for INI files containing the string.

Check in HK_Users\.Default and see if it is there. Some apps write to this key when they start up. So it may not be your msi creating the taskbar icon. If you find it there then create a Custom Action to remove it on uninstall.

Check the local machines registry for the string because I have a feeling that your msi isn't creating it. Citrix is on startup.
