CitrixProgram Neighborhood
Hi,
Our builds have "Citrix Program Neighborhood Agent" installed. Using "ica32pkg.msi".
However, I now have the task to install "Citrix Program Neighborhood". I have created a new "ica32pkg.msi", but when I run it on a client that already has "Citrix Program Neighborhood Agent" installed, it says "Can't install - something about previous version ...". I have changed, the package code, product code and upgrade code - still same.
If I uninstall the existing version "Citrix Program Neighborhood Agent", then run my msi it's fine. Is there a way that I can just add the "Citrix Program Neighbourhood" without first having to uninstall the "Citrix Program Neighbourhood Agent"?
Many thanks,
Mike.

You are trying to install the same product but with different feature selection here, and you should not use 2 packages for that. I strongly recommend you uninstall the old version, and install the new one.
As for the error about already installed: by changing the product code and package code (no need to change the upgrade code!), you are telling windows installer that this is a new package. However, if you look in the upgrade table, you will se that the package is looking for other versions there. One of those lines will detect your existing installation, and abort the new one.
My recommendation: uninstall the previous version and install the new one. Anything else will probably come back to haunt you later on.
