Software Deployment

Hello Everyone,

I am newbie to this forum and i searched around a lot before i thought of posting my question.

Problem: I am trying to create an MSP from MSI for our inhouse product. As an example i used MS visual studio 2008 to create MSI(test purposes). After creating the MSI i installed it on my local machine. Now i made a small change to the code and created new MSI. After that i did all the steps mentioned in MS documentation for creating MSP and successfully created a PCP file and an MSP using PCP file and target/upgraded MSI's...After creating the MSP i successfully applied the patch. Now i wanted to apply a patch on the top of previous patch so i updated the code and created a new MSI from it.....Used version 2nd MSi(target) and this new MSI(Upgraded) to create a MSP file. This time although the MSP file does have the new changes in it (checked out from LOG) but when i apply the patch it doesnt work and the file is not updted to 3rd version its still has the stuff from version 2....

Can somebody please help me with this.......?
