Create Two MIs for Same Software Title

We have a vendor who has provided us with two msi files, one for x64 and one for x86. How do we create two different MIs to install on two different platforms when the software title/inventory is the same? Each time I try to create another MI for a different platform, it overwrites whichever file is uploaded to the kbox with the current version.

So that means it can't be done as a Managed Install and must be scripted instead.

Upload both of them and a script.

Using scripting determine whether the machine is 32 or 64 and call the appropriate msi.

Can someone please elaborate on this? I've searched and searched and I can't seem to find a way to address this, or at least address this in a way that associates the different msi files with the same Software Inventory item.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
