Creating Office Project Server Account.

Im in a process of creating an office project 2007 pro package. I was wondering, does anyone know when you set the Project Server Account manully, where all the information gets stored? does it create a file or stored in a file? Im trying to incorporate this setting to the package so that users dont have to set Project Server Account maunally. When they start office project, it will be already set for them.

After installing, use a lightweight snapshotting tool like Ziff-Davis's In Control (Google for 'InCtrl5.ZIP') and then set the server. Do an 'After' snapshot and you should have your answer. My suspicion is that it's stored in the registry but equally, these days, MS seems to be enamoured of XML...

Consider adding the server name as a property. That way, if it changes (or a new one is set up for a different site), it can be specified on the command line.

Also if you want to do the connection state you can modify that here:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\MS Project\Settings]
"AutoConnect"="No"
