Creating Silent install from EXE, Need guidance

Trying to create a silent install distribution for SAP Crystal Reports 2011 SP2. I have an EXE called CRViewer.exe and I know the silent installer switch is -q. On my machine this works fine (running the exe with the switch in a command prompt window).

I usually have the help from a KACE expert in doing this type of stuff but he's out, so I need some assistance on next steps getting the distribution to work.

I have the distribution created for the software:
-1 do I just upload the EXE to the KBOX or do I have to ZIP it?
-2 how do I run the commands and what install options must I select.

Tried this on my own in several configurations, each time (I setup a post install message) it says Download failed.

Any comments appreciated.

1) Run the CRviewer.exe then locate the extract out files (found mine under C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\Temp\RarSFX0)

2) Use these source file and run the install using     setup.exe -q
