Creating Start Menu Shortcuts in VMWare Thinapp
Hello everyone.
I'm evaluating a trial version of VMWare ThinApp... I've been reading up on the documentation but I'm still confused on how to make desktop / start menu shortcuts appear for my virtualized applications. I'm able to click on the .exe and the app starts up but I want the shortcuts to appear in the start menu WITHOUT creating them myself.
Is there a way to package the shortcuts before I build the app so they can appear?

You have to trigger the shortcuts using thinreg.exe, either drop the ThinApp packaged exe on top of the thinreg.exe or if using a logon script you can have thinreg.exe scan your packages and configure the client accordingly. Here is a quick reference:
