Default user
Hi All
I'm just stating out with packaging. First major project is iTunes. At first I tried to do a setup capture from Wise but it failed to register dll.s. I played around for a bit, then gave up and tried AdminStudio. That worked first time.
Now I've got a working package I need to tweak it. I want to change the default/new user profile so it copies an existing iTunes.pref file from to the application data folder. This will save the user from having to run a wizard after they first run the program. I've tested it and it is defintately this file, not the regitry. Delete the file and the wizard runs when you start the app, restore it and it doesn't.
So, my problem is how do I add the file? Presumably there is some sort if IF EXIST routine in the app. How can I change this, so if the answer = NO, it will copy a file rather than run the wizard?
Or is there any other way of doing it?
