Dell selling software division

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-dellsoftware-m-a-franciscopartners-idUSKCN0Z609F

Neither of the articles I have read include any mention of KACE. Has anyone heard if it is being sold off?

  • Is there any further development on this? We've asked for an Executive call for further clarification, but that might take a few days / weeks to schedule. - RealityHook 8 years ago
    • one good point of this is now Kace can also work on better integration with other PC vendors for things like bios and such - SMal.tmcc 8 years ago

Just various rumor here and there of being sold off or spun off like before Dell acquired it but nothing official or substantiated. At this point it is a waiting game.

This article lists kace.

I was told recently by a reseller that Dell was actively looking to sell KACE. Who knows?

The article does not list Kace

Did you also notice there is no DWUF on the agenda this year at dell world.

It does mention endpoint management. It's a waiting game at this point.

"Dell Software’s comprehensive portfolio of solutions span a number of areas critical to the modern business and IT management landscape, including advanced analytics, database management, data protection, endpoint systems management, identity and access management, Microsoft platform management, network security, and performance monitoring"
