WinZip is what I had tried first.
For training purpose - It would be the simplest to start with, so as to explain capturing of correct set of registries, shortcuts & files.

Why not build one?
Then build another with a copy of the original with deliberate errors in. Your freshmen can then be tasked with fixing the errors.
