Device inventory report based on smart labels

Good morning,

In our environment each department is segmented by IP address. In order to identify devices in that department I have created smart labels based on the IP address. For example, devices connected in the admin department will all have a 10.10.50.X IP address. The smart labels do in display what I am looking to group.

My question is how do I use the smart labels to generate a single report that will list all the devices base only on the smart labels i created? Our SMA is on version 12.1.

Admin Devices (smart label)

computer 1

computer 2

Finance Devices (smart label)

Computer 66

computer 53

Etc.

TIA

in the report wizard you have under Device Identity Information also an option "Label name".
Therefore you simply can show this label and also query against this information directly from the wizard.

  • So I see a lot of good ways to generate reports is to use labels to filter the devices then point the wizard to that label to get the info? I seem to always get asked for reports that dont exist in KACE by default. - lama01 10 months ago
