DHCP client service is not starting auomatically

Hi,

After installing a product in my pc that application is crashing my network i.e,my Lan connection is 'm loosing..

can you please tell me which file is causes fo that..

kindly guide me thanks

It's likely that you've capture some HKLM\System keys in your package that affect networking.

Try clearing out anything that isn't obviously application specific and try again.

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TcpIp would be a good place to start.

Also, and I don't mean to sound too elitist here, but I'm wondering how you become a senior member on the forums after 3 months with a personal score of -31? [;)]

Pieter, that status comes about because of the number of posts, not the poster's score.

Richard, I was (am) but thought this might become a useful thread in the future.

I have resisted responding to the moronic question about example registry values. If anyone finds out who this clown works for, I hope they have the integrity to inform the company of the incompetence of this individual, if only to protect that company from the almost inevitable disaster which he will visit upon them before too long.
