Disable Features in Snagit 9
Hi,
i extracted snagit.msi from snagitde.exe.
On manual installation you can select the features you want to install.
So I want to do the same per commandline or per MST.
My MSI Editor is Orca.
Ok, for example, let us take the feature Snagit_Printer from the MSI's Features Table.
There is also a condition for Snagit_Printer.
Condition Table:
Feature_: Snagit_Printer
Level: 0
Condition: Version9X < 410 OR VersionT < 500.
How can I disable this feature?
Is there a common rule how to disable features per MST?
Manfred

It looks to me like it's disabled already, if your targets have OSs later than NT:
Condition: Version9X < 410 OR VersionNT < 500 (my correction from 'VersionT' to 'VersionNT' - am I right?)
This means that if the OS is below Windows 98 ('410') or XP ('500') that feature won't be installed.
Given your apparent level of knowledge (judged purely from the question you're asking) I'd advise extreme caution if using Orca to create your MSIs or transforms. (BTW, ALWAYS transform vendor MSIs - don't be tempted to edit them directly!) It's easy to miss features which are inter-dependent, condition them out and cause all manner of havoc. Get yourself a decent authoring tool (AppDeploy has a 'Tools' section for you to browse), one which allows you to tailor MSI-based installations to create transforms by simply selecting options from the installer's dialogs.
