does any one know how to remove FPdownloader when it does not appear in the program list to delete it

The uninstaller for this program is hidden away in the %appdata% folder. There's a folder called 'fbdownloader' that contains the uninstall utility.

c:\users\%USERNAME%\Appdata\Roaming\fbdownloader\uninst.exe

You can usually find uninstall strings in the registry if ARP doesn't show an icon for your app. Just search for (part of) your application name.
