Does anyone have a "smackdown" style opinion on App-V packagers?
More precisely has anyone done a bakeoff between AppDNA, ChangeBASE, AdminStudio, Autonoware?

Thanks. I am intimately familiar with Ruben's smack down. This is analyzing App Virt products. My question is the same but for the 3rd party packaging products for App Virt. The alternatives to Sequencing. Flexera, ApoDNA, and ChangeBASE can all natively convert an msi to and sft sans sequencing. Because Kalle Sunamaki documented the sft file format. - seando40 11 years ago

Autonoware ConversionBox for App-V 4.6 and 5.0 is a software which reduces 95% of desktop application deployment time and allows for testing and converting MSIs into Microsoft App-V packages using a simple drag and drop process. The converted packages can be deployed via SCCM or Microsoft App-V infrastructure
ConversionBox datasheet can be downloaded from http://www.agiletec.com.au/downloads/datasheet_CB.pdf , however, there are some additional features not mentioned in the datasheet including:
1- Media Test (also known as media install) - a feature that allows for testing whether the MSI can be converted to an App-V package, eliminating false positives and negatives.
2- ConversionBox reporting module includes detailed reports from Media Test and/or App-V package creation.
The Media Test, Conversion Box Reporting, and editing existing App-V package are free as Conversion Box is only licensed per “successfully converted or updated MSIâ€. - AgileTec 11 years ago
