"remote machine actions allow the Agent Relay Tunnel to start a custom machine action via a designated computer in a remote subnet."  , but cannot see or figure out how to do any of this. cannot find any of this in documentation either. not sure if I missed it .any information is appreciated

Hi this is the location in the admin guide to the feature:

Managing inventory > Using Device Discovery > Discovering devices on your network > Add a Discovery Schedule for SNMP-enabled non-computer devices

Go to No.6 to find out about the feature:

"6.
Expand Relay and select the Discovery options."

Go to Settings | General Settings |Device Actions.
You can setup anything you like (click on the Super Mario Button next to the function to get more info) like ping a remote machine etc.

If setup you can go to the Inventory | Devices and see the litte triangle next to IP Address.
There you can find the configured ones.
You need to sit on a machine with an active agent for this appliance since the agent on your local machine is used to start the device action.
There was a similar function before but it needed ActiveX so only a limited amount of customers were able to use it.
