DuplicateFile Entry
I am attempting to create a package that will self heal certain files to the userprofile. I have been successful in doing so if it is only a file however have had no luck if it contains a folder (such as c:\documents and settings\user\Folder1\file1.txt)
I have read quite a bit on the use of the duplicatefile table and was able to get the self healing for files working by manually creating the entry.
I do this manually because Installshield never creates a duplicatefile entry automatically even if you add the same file multiple times (at least so far I have found)
I have read that Wise will do it for you. So...
Can someone either explain how I can get Installshield to create duplicatefile entries automatically or in failing that, can someone post an example duplicatefile entry of an item that goes into a folder under a specified folder...(such as the c:\documents and settings\user\Folder1\file1.txt)
Thank you.
