Error 25124: Microsoft System Center Virtual Application Server
Has anyone seen the error (described below in italics) when installing Microsoft System Center Virtual Application Server 4.5?
'Product: Microsoft System Center Virtual Application Server -- Error 25124. The installation program was unable to create the required configuration file'.
I have used ProcMon 126 to monitor this installation to see registry, file or process failures but the logs are inconclusive.

Have not seen it, but if the message is to be believed, it would be trying to create the server.conf file under Program Files/Microsoft SoftGrid/SoftGrid Server/conf/ folder. That is the only configuration file for the VAS.
Double check the basics, including requirements. I have a video (Episode 7) showing a sucessfull install at www.tmurgent.com .

The hostname of the server should not start with a nos. It now works since changing the hostname from 02SFT45 to SFT45.
