Find the PACKAGE_GUID of installed applications

In our environment, the App-V packages are currently installed on 4.6 Sp2 Client. We use the standalone method without streaming for installation i.e the msi.

Currently there are many App-V packages that are getting installed, is there any command, tool which can be run and would give the list of App-V packages installed based on PACKAGE_GUID as i the msi's use the PACKAGE_GUID while installing.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • I know how to search for an msi using the product code, but i want something fundamentally using App-V only using either the sftmime query command but rather than using the Product code of msi to search i want something that i can use with the PACKAGE_GUID. - Sujit J 11 years ago

The sftmime command can dump package information out to a file, which you can then parse.

sftmime.exe query obj:package /global /short /log C:\DumpFilePath.txt
