Firefox v4 - Blocking about:config

Is it just me or the disableAboutConfig.js file is not working with Firefox v4 to block from users accessing the about:config via the address bar?

I've been looking around and can't find any mention about it or if this is a bug or not.

I have saved the file to C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\components which is the correct dir, but it still allowed users to access it.

Anyone managed to find a way to block access to about:config and if so, what did you do to block this?

Thanks.

I've not done v4 yet. But when I packaged 3.6.x I used the cck addon. Looks like it's been updated to support v4, you may find it very useful at least to see if you can deny access with it and see if the method has changed.

Thanks for that. I installed it, followed the steps, generated the file.

Then extracted the file to get the disableAboutConfig.js file, and while it's a bit smaller in filesize comparerd to what I have, it still didn't work. :(

Ah well, thanks for the info! :D

with 3.6.x it was a checkbox in the CCK, no need to generate or copy a js file.
did you use the CCK for 4? the checkbox for disable about:config used to be on one of the first pages. If they don't have this for v4 i expect there will be a lot of screaming and someone will fix it quick.
