Help Please!! Appv4.6 issue
All virtual apps run fine except one on one machine. For this app when I go to 'file, open' the OS locks up and killing the app in tskmgr is my only option.
I have removed the app (and all pkg\tmp files) and re-deployed but it's still the same.
If I launch notepad from within the VE it runs fine until I go to 'file, open' when the OS again locks however notepad functions fine when ran outwith the VE.
So my issue appears to be the 'file, open' context menu for all apps in the virtual environment, for only one machine for all profiles.
Please help, any ideas welcome.

For one machine, it surely *must* be quicker to just rebuild it!

Thanks for the reply.
Quicker, absolutely but I'm not a huge fan of rebuilding as a troubleshooting step, besides I want to know what the cause is. If this gets roled out to the bigger estate I dont want a 12% failure rate.
From what I can see if may be a C++ redistributable issue (which I'm investigating) but I thought I'd see if anyone else had experienced it.
Cheers agains. - Busby101 10 years ago-
Is there anything different with this machine?
Is it generally in a good working state? Enough disk space etc?
If it's a File>Open issue, then it's looking to the file system.
Is there a network drive disconnected or some kind of encrypted device that it's hanging on?
If you leave it overnight does it move on from the hang, or is it a pertetual hang?
Is your sequence 'clean', did you clean out all unnecessary registry and file entries picked up during monitoring?
A C++ issue shouldn't affect notepad.
Are you running notepad as an alternative executable on the sfttray commnad line? - dunnpy 10 years ago-
Hi,
The machines in good working order.
There is plenty of disk space (20GB free) and the CPUs fine.
Unfortunately I didnt sequence this, it was sequenced by someone who has left with no recipe document.
I launched the command prompt using 'SFTTRAY' and then used the command prompt to launch notepad. - Busby101 10 years ago
