Here is the dll file....
Hi All,
created my package for a USB Device. My package runs ok, all the drivers get installed. After inserting the device into the USB port. windows pop-up "new hardware found installing new driver"
after that asking the user for a .dll file. i have placed the dll file in system32 & the dll file is there already. do not know why windows is asking the user for the dll file while it is in system32 directory? any idea? do i need to add an entery in the registery?
what am i missing?
your help highly appreciated.

windows pop-up "new hardware found installing new driver"Is that the 'Add New HardwareWizard' or the yellow notification in the system tray? If the former, your driver is most defintely NOT installed.
Coming to the window asking for the DLL, is that from the Windows Installer engine? Try posting a screen shot using the 'Add image' tag, if you think that would help.
