first thing you want to do is have a good look at the setup.exe and see if it contains an MSI installer. Have a look at my blog on the subject here: http://www.itninja.com/blog/view/a-general-approach-to-software-packaging-starting-from-consistent-installer-analysis
The outcome of this will indicate how long the packaging will take, and it will also depend on what tools you have available. Could you provide us with that info?
