How do you sequence an app-v app like putty.exe?

I have a few self contained executable apps that i need to virtualize. these apps have to installation procedure other than copying to the directory of your choice and creating a desktop shortcut.

How?

That's all you have to do.

Start monitoring and copy the files to your mount point or into your VFS and create the shortcuts as necessary.

After all, that is all a setup routine is doing at its most basic level - monitoring the installation or you copying files is the same as far as App-V is concerned.

Are you having problems, or just asking about the correct approach?

  • I am still having issues virtualizing a self contained executable application. I am trying it on App-V 5.0. Can some one please detail the steps - maku8780 11 years ago
  • maku8780 - rather than hijack a dormant thread from July, please create your own question detailing which application you're attempting to sequence and any other relevant details and someone will be able to assist you. - dunnpy 11 years ago
