how to change Installation Directory for Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition

Hi All,

I want to do silent installation for Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition SP1 on D drive.
Is there any switch which will install on D drive.
I tried with TARGETDIR="D:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0" but it is not working......can any one help me...

Why do you imagine any reply would be different from the reply you got when you asked virtually the same question on Wednesday??????

Hi VBScab,

What i asked on wednesday...that was IBM XDE developer,

and now i am asking for Visual Basic 2008 Expess edition,

is that both software same?
I believe there will be different switches for changing directory....

Yes, 99% of the MSI's are handled the same way. INSTALLDIR=D:\.... or ROOTDRIVE=D:\ should do the trick.

TARGETDIR is usually not used for this. That's probably the 1% exception.
