How to delete files via mst?
Hi folks,
I'm just in the process of creating an MST File for Lotus Notes 6.5.4. After creating lot's of faulty MSTs with InstallShield Tuner for Notes (they kept MSI Erroring out with 1603), I tried using the real InstallShield Tuner and hooray, it's working!
The only thing that doesn't work for me:
I have been asked to remove a list of 12 files from the Installation and add 2 others. The adding part worked fine, but the files I deleted using the MST Editor are still there when I install the product. They do however show up crossed out in the files table and everything. Any input why this is so?
Cheers,
Konstantin

It sounds like that should stop the files from installing. You can double check that by opening the MSI & MST in ORCA and insuring the appropriate rows are crossed out in the FILES table. Also make sure you're really using the correct transform. Outside of that, could there be a custom action that's putting the files there even though they are removed in the transform?
