how to use removefile table

hi all,

here's the situation;

a package was created and distributed to all computers some years ago. that package did not include a desktop icon, so the guy that was here at that time has created a script to add the desktop shortcut after the msi is installed.

today, i need to update the application. i have a new msi, and use the upgrade table and everything works fine.

but since the desktop shortcut is not in the old msi, it is not deleted. now i would like to fix this but i don't know how to populate the removefile table to reference a file external to my msi.

can anyone point me to some documentation on how to populate the removefile table?

thanks!

simple: just use the exact name of the shortcut and add it to the removefile table and choose remove on uninstall

[picks up jaw from floor...]Seriously? You've been a member since 2004 and you've asked where to find documentation for MSI tables?
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
