IBM db2 services not getting installed
Hi,
I am packaging IBM DB2 Application development client but while installing the msi I am getting the error that Services can't be Installed\Started due to Priviledges.
ServiceInstall and ServiceControl table has proper entries for the required services and I tried adding registry entries also for these services but all in vain.
Please let me know if anyone has some work around or solution for this.
Thanks,

From memory the DB2 application tries to install Kernel Services which Wise and Windows Installer don't seem to handle well at all. Wise can package them and install them but the Installer Service fails to start them.
One way around this is to install them and reboot.
The other way is to use SC.exe or another service tool as a custom action to do the install/startup.
