ICE 03 Failure in application SyndTrac3
Hi all,
I am Getting ICE 03 failure for application SyndTrac3, There is no component associated with around 30 files, This being a vendor MSI how do we go about resolving the ICE Failure. The files also dont get installed but have there entries in file table without the component entries in the component column of file table.
The error is given below :
ICE03 Failure ICE Internal Error 1149. API Returned: 1615.
ICE03 Failure Error 2228: C:\DOCUME~1\DEVANA~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\ism7C3.tmp, _FtrRef, SELECT `Table`, `Column` FROM `_FtrRef` WHERE `Table` = 'File' AND `Column` = 'Component_'
Thanks in Advance

I (personally) don't worry about fixing ICE errors in the vendor MSIs - unless they are stopping you deploying the package in your environment - such as for advertising etc.
Presumably the application installs and functions as it should with this error... If so the files can't be required so why worry?
...or just snap the isntall and have done with it. Now I'm just waiting for all of the "Cast him down into the pit - you should never repackage an MSI yadda yadda yadda" posts [8D]
Cheers,
Rob.
