Internal of Logfile Generation
hi ,
how the log file are generated.
i know /L*v and stuff but i am looking for internal..
(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer "Logging"="voicewarmup")
it will start the log file .
Can somebody tell me the internal building procedure of logfile as how it is made.
Like services called n registry changes , i am looking for internals working of it ..
i saw many exe without a msi wrapper generate log file .. so how do they generate the logfile.
Thanks in Advance..

perhaps this pdf is a good place to start, the code in it gives you an idea how log messages are put together and written to the log in an msi.
