issue in .Net 3.5 SP1 in XP SP2

After installed .Net 3.5 SP1 in XP SP2 in registry I am not seeing HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP
As per the online Doc this key should be present in registry
Could you any one tell me where I am doing mistake while installing

The log which you should have taken of the install should show you what's happened.
