Java 6 update 26 TS - Keeps rebooting and crashing the TS
Hi there. I have a TS that installs Java 6 update 26. That with a transform. It works good, unless the user is using IE / Firefox. Then the install is good but the exit code is 3010, that meens reboot requierd.
I have tried:
* Editing the properties of the MSI
* Switches /Norestart reboot=reallysupress and so on...
* Editing the MST file
If i install it with commandline in the TS it works like a charm! But i dont get any feedback on how the installation did. Because the exitcode just goes in the trash..
What do i do!? How do i keep the TS from snatching the 3010 exitcode...? If i read the logs it says the reboot is disabled, but it still does it..

I hope you need to check and reset your IE first. Restart TS in safe mode and clean all temp files and folders, by logging in as other user. Reset this user environment settings by renaming the following folder -
C:\Documents and Settings\user name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows
to anything, ie.Windows.old.
Log off and login as this user. All user environment settings would be created as a fresh.
Shutdown and start normally. Now try to install Java 6 Update 26.
I hope this helps.

While checking the broken crystal ball, I´m guessing you are using SCCM and Task Sequence? In that case I do not know how you can get feedback on SCCM server, I have seen scripts that produce log files in the application logs of computer. But why are you using task sequence to deploy java?
Edit* Look into the variable _SMSTSLastActionRetCode
