K1000 Appliance Backup
Hi Folks....So i'm the noob on the block using KACE. My company just purchased it and I'm in the process of setting things up currently. I guess my question is regarding the best way to backup the appliance? I did read and try the manual option to backup and then download the files as well as the option for FTP (not having luck connecting via FTP). Also wondering if it is possible to have the backup go the SMB share on the device and then run my backups from that location?

Even using this I had to tweak my process a bit following the 6.4 upgrade. This is the Script I use differs slightly from the official instructions but this is how I got mine to copy the necessary files:
open (my K1000's IP Address)
kbftp
getbxf
prompt
type binary
mget kbox_*
close
quit
I run this daily on one of my Windows servers.
