K2000 scripted image on Dell optiplex 990 FAIL
We have a couple new Dell Optiplex 990 that fail during Windows setup with "Windows Setup could not configure Windows to run on this computer's hardware" This happens during final stage of Windows scripted install. Steps taken: Updated K2000 to 3.3.52857. Added NIC driver to \drivers\windows_7_x64 and recached. Verified the Optiplex 990 driver feed was installed.

Thanks. Updating to 3.4 fixed the issue, although now one of my post install jobs is now failing to run, seemingly due to the upgrade. We had no issues with 990's until we got a couple newer ones...

I suggest trying updating K2000 to the latest version. We are using 3.4.54256 and that natively supported the Optiplex 990's without any problems so far just by using the driver feeds.
Note I can only confirm this with Windows 7 Professional (x86) with SP1.

On the latest version of the K2000 I'm doing x86 and x64 without any issues to the Dell 990's. - ckubaska 12 years ago
