Kace 1000 software installation problems

Hi everybody!

Im having problems with software installs through the k1000. Basically, when I push something like Java to a machine, it fails to install.
The status under managed installation tasks is "Not Installed". If I check under c:\Program Data\Package Cache, there is no entry for Java at all.
I made a change to the labels before this happened, but I have tried to bypass this by using the name of the test pc instead.
Still nothing.
So, where are the logs to find out what is going on? The version I am running is 7.0.121306.

  • do you get a popup on the machine you are installing to? Anything saying that the Kace Agent is trying to install something? - DirtySoc 7 years ago

How are you deploying java...?
Script or a managed install...?
Have you gotten your parameters right?

  • Thanks for the links! Ill read up on them. I found out what the problem was... I wasnt ticking prepend msiexec.exe.
Once I ticked that, and added in the full command line, Java started working. - Kacetookay 7 years ago
