Kronos Issue with Java
Hello All,
I was curious if anyone has worked with Kronos 7.07 here and if they ran into Java or any other issues. If so, what is/was your approach to resolve it.
Any feed is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
AK

I always have problems with Kronos and Java. They are usually never up to date with the security patches that come out for Java. We mainly use Kronos in IE, but after Java 1.8.0.u51 Kronos became extremely slow and unresponsive in the browser. Kronos solution was to use Firefox, so far that has worked well with the new Java update 1.8.0.u65. I should also mention that when I called them (Kronos) they had no plans or could tell me when they planned on updating or patching over the solution I got was to roll back to update 51. We are currently on version 6.3.14 of Kronos.

Most users hit issues with Kronos and Java. You have to be very selective when deploying java updates as it normally breaks the browser extensions for Kronos. You should test all deployments with kronos before making full organization changes. After all that software normally creates your pay check.

YES. We have a group of people/devices which receive patches before anyone else and one of the things we always test is Kronos. - JasonEgg 8 years ago
