marimba?
hey everyone,
just wondering if anyone knows of a way to UNINSTALL the marimba client via script? We no longer use the deployment tool and have moved over to another product... I've been testing running a msiexec /x on an extracted MSI but doesn't seem to be working.... and ofcourse the hkey ... \uninstall key seems to be different on every machine I've checked.
any insight would be appreciated!
thanks!

If the extracted MSI has the ProductCode for "ProductX" it won't uninstall "ProductY". At the very least there should be a cached MSI in %SystemRoot%\Installer.
If push comes to shove, an application is just a bunch of files and registry junk. It's simple enough to build an uninstalling MSI which removes both.
